Jim Harris (jim@arktimes.com) at the Arkansas Times has a new radio show on www.wairadio.com. He is promoting the local music scene and is going to be talking about The Odds and the upcoming show at The Peabody.
The show will start this coming Wednesday at 6:00 p.m., and will devote 30 minutes each week to 1 band and play some of their music on the show. The Odds are scheduling an in-studio interview in the near future. We will announce the details as soon as we get them.
The Odds announce that we have changed bass players. Our long time friend and excellent bassist Severino Myers had to leave the band. We are sorry to lose Sev. But as some of you already know, we are very, very happy to announce that Kevin Grimwood accepted our offer and has joined The Odds. Kevin played his first show with us on April 30th at Cajuns Wharf in Little Rock, and in his own words, “Guys, that was awesome,…”. We are all looking forward to Kevin’s contributions, both in song writing and enthusiasm, and are excited about an excellent future in creating music.
Please write Kevin at Kevin@TheOdds.net and tell him he’s 'da man'!
The Odds, a pop-rock quintet out of Fayetteville, survived the final round of the Arkansas Times Musicians Showcase on Friday, emerging as this year’s “best original music band in Arkansas.” Before a full house at Juanita's, the Odds bested, in order, Further Down, a power rock group from Jonesboro; “nu” metal group Temper Effect from Little Rock, and blues band Charlotte Taylor and Gypsy Rain from Heber Springs.
By winning, the Odds assured themselves of a spot in Riverfest as well as on the Peabody-Little Rock’s late spring-early summer schedule of concerts, the date to be announced soon.
